3. looking at Mercury with a telescope
 
Findings (list):
1. closest planet to the sun; has an electric field
2. rotates once about 59 earth days;goes around the sun every 88 earth days
3. Mariner 10 became the first and only spacecraft to Mercury
4. metal core
 
Conclusion: Was hypothesis proven correct, or incorrect - OR how was question answered: My queastion was answered with facts that tell me about Mercury.
 
Questions raised for further study:
1. Will humans live on Mercury?
2. Will there be any other probes sent to Mercury?
3. Could Mercury have any moons?
